Song Kyuman / 송규만
송규만 교수는 Harvard 대학 건축대학원에서 석/박사와 Univ, of Pennsylvania
건축학 석사학위를 취득하고, 미국 Fuji-Xerox Palo Alto Lab, General Dynamics
에서 디자인 실무를 하였다.
현재 홍익대학교 건축도시대학 건축학과 교수로 재직 중이며, 건축도시대학의
학장과학생처 부처장을 역임하였으며, 건축설계, 제품디자인, 정보디자인,
가구디자인 등으로 다양한 디자인 프로젝트를 수행하고 있다.
2018 일본 Good Design Award, 2019 독일 IF Design Award,
2020 독일 Reddot Award, 문화체육부 장관표창, 한국건축가협회 공로상
등을 수상하였고, 2016 - 2019년 국제건축가 100인전 총감독,
2020년 서울건축문화제 총감독, 2021년 LH공사 대학생주택건축대전
총감독을 역임하였다.
Philosophy
Dr. Song’s work celebrates the importance of form, function, and detail. His projects have developed a reputation for enhanced usability,beauty in form, and wit. Working at intersection of information graphics, product design, and space design, Song hopes to make work that provides relief from the overly-heavy approach that is so prevalent in the art / design spheres today — to create rather light and easy, accessible and enjoyable designs for all.
